Unitedworld Institute of Design (UID) one of the leading design institutes of India functioning under Karnavathi university an eminent University at Gandhinagar, Ahmedabad, Gujrat has conducted Ahmedabad Design Week 3.0 (AWD) from Feb 26,27,28 – 2022 and as a part of AWD 3.0, DRDO-UID Defence Exhibit was also set for the period. While inspiring speakers and guests arrived at ADW 3.0, start-ups that design for the defence sector showcased their products in front of such dignitaries at the UID Defence Exhibit.  Ahmedabad Design Week 3.0 had kickstarted with a commendable inauguration ceremony graced by the Chief of Army Staff, General Manoj Mukund Naravane PVSM, AVSM, SM, VSM. He emphasized that change is the only constant and it is important to keep changing with time to develop.  

With the welcome address delivered by Shri Ritesh Hada, President, Karnavati University, the ceremony also saw the presence of Prahlad Kakar, Ad Guru, and Filmmaker, Air Marshal R K Dhir (retd.) Advisor to Gujarat State “Defence and Aerospace Industries” followed by a thank you note by r. A K S Suryavanshi, Vice Chancellor, Karnavati University. 

Lieutenant General KJS Dhillon, PVSM, UYSM, YSM, VSM (retd.) Former Director-General, Defence Intelligence Agency, Lieutenant General B S Jaswal, PVSM, Bar to AVSM, VSM (retd.), Prahlad Kakar, Piyush Mishra, Satish Gokhale is the Head of Product Design at DesignDirections and Red Dot Awardee, Harsha Kikkeri, CEO, Holoworld, Major General M Indrabalan, Additional Director General, National Cadet Corps, Bihar & Jharkhand were few among the prominent keynote speakers. 

Harsha Kikkeri, the CEO, of Holoworld, spoke about the futuristic approach of HoloSuit and its role in simulation training for Defence. A team from HoloWorld, including Sivakumar Subramanian, COO, HoloWorld was present in the stall demonstrating various applications of HoloWorld.

During the DRDO-UID Defence Exhibit, Holoworld was one of the key precentors of the applications of metaverse and robotics the visitors were from the defence academic institutions and different industrial sectors had visited our stall and appreciated. Many of them had expressed their interest to be associated with Holoworld in skilling the younger generation. 

The Ahmedabad Design Week 3.0 (AWD) and UID Defence Exhibit had provided an opportunity for the student community and defence, Industry, and start-ups personnel to interact with each other and understand the requirements and opportunities in the defence sector, and to come out with innovative ideas and products which could cater the various requirements of defence and also help to establish the existing start-ups and also to encourage the young innovators to come out innovative ideas and products which could cater the various requirements of defence and also help to establish the existing start-ups and also to encourage the young innovators to come out with new start up ideas.
