Employee Induction at HoloWorld

Employee induction is one of those corporate processes that is often undervalued and may appear as nothing but an incidental procedure, over the time, has proven to be imperative to the wellness connect. We at HoloWorld believe that a connect with its vision and flair for a new hire initiate through induction. 

Employee induction refers to the process by which new employees or hires are inducted and integrated into their roles at their new jobs. And, unsurprisingly, employee induction has a lot more to do with strategy and a well-thought-out plan for holistic integration as opposed to a pat on the back accompanied by, “Here’s your laptop and ID card! All the best for your journey with us!”  

Holoworld conducted an induction program for the recently hired interns on 23March’22. A well-crafted agenda included a briefing on the Vision, Mission, and timeline of HoloWorld. Team building started with a self-introduction of Interns as a professional and as an individual.  The policies, framework of functioning, flagship product ‘HoloSuit’, and various offices of the organization, were strategically augmented for the young minds to have a better understanding of the organization. These would be further concreted during the course by their mentors. The purpose was to channel towards stronger professional interlinks. It is equally important to connect with the location of the organization – The Heritage city – the Mysore, which would be the city of stay. Hence a lovely video of Mysore, a magnificent city of palaces, arts, technology, and well-planned urban spaces was projected with a view of reducing the stress of relocation and the joy of exploring the same. 

Introduction

Beyond technology, the stronger aspect of being part of HoloWorld is in virtue of its excitement. Fantasy, spirituality, and excitement is the soul of its technology. This is where the threshold is broken and propels us to revolutionise the digital era. The session on success stories was not just delivered but succeeded in striking the right chords amongst the interns. It was a deep pondering into the aspects of humanoids, Zygobots, emotional intelligence and the fictional influence that propels technology to the next horizon. Watching and experiencing fiction-themed movies was encouraged as a connect to the said technologies.  The impact of mathematics on technology, fundamentals of science and connectivity to academics was envisioned by retd. Prof. TV Sreenivas from IISc Bangalore. He was very conscious of taking forward the academic journey into the corporate world though a balanced understanding and application of fundamentals which certainly acts as a cushion towards feasible solution during internship.

A physical tour across office locations and a soft interaction amongst the various teams happened all way. Time for the first corporate lunch and the traditional recipes took a break with delightful pizzas which put across a surprise smile on new hires connecting back to their college days. The lunch on interaction led to a relaxed feel-good work-life balance.

Time for fun. Back with energy post a quick delicious bite, the organizing team launched a series of fun sessions through team building activities and humorous games which communicates the spirit of work-life balance. Winners celebrated victory and were handed chocolates to cherish their team spirit. The most desired aspect was the joy to watch the aura of enthusiasm. 

A good and comprehensive employee induction can be the difference between a healthy or unhealthy organisation and navigate to a satisfied, motivated, and productive workforce. Signing of with a note of gratitude, happiness and thanking all colleagues for the wonderful support all through.
