Industrial institute interactions are an essential part of the academic curriculum, especially for technical and techno-managerial domains. It metamorphosizes a budding technocrat towards an explorative understanding of technology. HoloWorld undertook an initiative to launch an interactive campaign under the banner of RoboYatra to bring industry-institute learning right into the learning ecosystem and give students exposure to cutting-edge technology in Robotics, and AR/VR along with numerous opportunities that can be explored on metaverse platforms.  

The RoboYatra was spearheaded by the CEO, COO, and VP of marketing along with the team of dedicated engineers. The travel plan and the logistics were meticulously handled for seamless execution. The event was planned for a selected few prominent institutions in Kerala and Tamil Nadu from 10th– 14th October 2022.  

The deliverables and the technologies showcased are given below: 

1. Seminar on Metaverse by Mr. Harsha Kikkeri, CEO of HoloWorld 
2. Demonstration of humanoid robot  
3. Demonstration of Mobile Robots- BYOR (Build your own robot) 
4. Immersive experience of Science experiments in AR under K-10, K-12 
5. Operation of flagship product- HoloSuit 
6. VR experience connected to Industrial skilling demo 

Given below are a few significant observations of Robo Yatra: 

• Opportunity to interact with Industry Experts: Provided students with a chance to meet industry leaders and technocrats who share their innovations, learning, and experiences. These interactions are useful to students in their careers and help them in developing leadership qualities, and management skills, while learn about the industry working. It also provided the management of the institutions a need for updating the curriculum when there are significant changes in prevalent technologies; also, the faculty members get to know about the fast-paced digital disruptions. 
• Learning experience: Learners were provided an opportunity to see and experience technology and interact with highly trained and experienced personnel. This practical learning experience is necessary for students to get inspired and pursue a career in such tech domains. 
• Enhanced employability and PPOs/Internships: For institutions, such events open many doors for corporate training and internships, which in turn increase the students’ employability. Oftentimes, many students are offered internships because of fruitful interaction between the company’s HR and students. 
• Techno-Managerial opportunities: During the Robo Yatra, significant number of MBA students got an opportunity to learn on market dynamics, handling digital disruptions and impulsive behaviour of consumers towards technology. The focus was channelized towards building metaverses, and resource management connected to its economic implications. The CEO during his interaction explained his own journey of metamorphosising his technical skills into building a one-of-a-kind tech-intensive start-up HoloWorld where ‘Skilling a billion by hiring a million’ vision was applauded.  
• Day off from the usual melancholy: The Yatra provided the students much-needed break from the usual melancholic theory classes, and students got a chance to engage in fun learning beyond the four walls of their classrooms. Lots of students engaged in one on interaction with the CEO and were inspired by the very journey of HoloWorld itself. The user-centric experience and hands-on was of a significant value proposition.  

Robo Yatra has proved to be an excellent platform for networking with institutions as well as the students to interact and connect with the corporates via official social media platforms like Facebook, Linked In, Instagram and Twitter. Endless chats, selfie sessions, robot games, conversations with the industry resource persons all make students see a better part of the tech intensive corporate journey. 

 The events were engaged for Morning and Noon sessions keeping the team on toe to a fast-paced schedule. The Yatra also brought in a beautiful learning experience for the crew with every single session providing an active engagement and experiencing a new crowd. The cross-country travel had an enchanting view across the God’s own country along with refreshing tea breaks. Local cuisines and a wonderful stay brought in a lot of joy for the entire team and the late-night preparations cast an exciting team spirit of Fun on Run. 

Robo Yatra wasn’t just about bridging the widening gap between theoretical learning and practical exposure but also understanding the possibilities of building a self-paced development of the education ecosystem as a whole. Robo Yatra connects institutes with the first-hand exposure to these technologies that can rationally build a concrete career.
